Beef Tallow

What it is: A type of rendered animal fat that is made from the suet (hard fat) of a cow. It is obtained by slowly melting the suet and then filtering it to remove any impurities. The resulting tallow is a creamy white solid.

Why we use it: Tallow has been used for centuries as a natural skincare ingredient due to its high content of beneficial fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants. It is easily absorbed by the skin, has anti-inflammatory properties, does not clog pores, and is slow to evaporate making it a long lasting moisturizer.  

Pork Lard

What it is: Rendered animal fat that is made from the fatty tissue of a pig. It is obtained by slowly melting the fat and then filtering it to remove any impurities.

Why we use it: 

Beeswax

What it is:  A natural wax that is produced by honey bees. It is formed in the bee's wax glands and used to build honeycomb structures within the hive. Beeswax is a hard, yellowish substance that has a variety of uses due to its unique physical properties.

Why we use it: Beeswax is a natural emollient that moisturizes and hydrates skin, while also providing a protective barrier against environmental stressors, and also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

Coconut Oil

What it is: Oil that is extracted from the meat of mature coconuts. It is composed mostly of saturated fats, including medium-chain fatty acids like lauric acid, capric acid, and caprylic acid.

Why we use it: Used in our deodorant coconut oil has natural anti-bacterial and antifungal properties that help to reduce odor while also providing its own pleasant natural fragrance.
